ABOUT ELIZABETH

Elizabeth Rentfro is a Texas-born, Chicago-based actor, composer, and comedian with a focus on Shakespeare, musical theater, and pop culture.

She was born and raised in Brownsville, TX and attended The University of Texas at Austin where she studied English Literature.

She received her MLitt and MFA in Acting from The American Shakespeare Center and has since been performing and music directing in Chicago and beyond.

She is the resident music director for Chicago company, Midsommer Flight.

She was an original cast member of Drunk Shakespeare Chicago where she performed over 400 times.

She is the co-founder and director of Staging Change Chicago, an artist collective dedicated to the uplifting of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ voices.
